Paysa Put an End to Its Silence
Paysa, the pioneer in the pre-engineered and pre-produced buildings in Turkey, has started to be more active in construction market. With over 30 years of experience Paysa is manufacturing relocatable and instant structures. With the introduction of new lines for accommodation containers and modular steel buildings Paysa has put an end to its silence in 30th Turkey Build Exhibition. We have spoken to Mr. Atakan Yalçınkaya, Board Member of Paysa.
Can you introduce Paysa?
Mr. Metin, the founder of Paysa, has noticed the need for pre-fabricated buildings in Turkey and focused on the structures for temporary accommodation. In order to cover and the other materials. By the time, these structures have been modified and with the changing technology the variety of structures today's structures.
Especially after the earthquake in 1999, the demand for the instant structures accelerated the sector. We can definitely say that the steel structures have been demanded more after the earthquake because the steel structures are more resistant to earthquake. We all live in cement-brick houses due to the economic conditions.
It takes time to introduce wooden or steel structures in the countries where the cement is relatively cheaper. However, due to tthe earthquake, steel structures are now more popular. There is a demand in Istanbul after the earthquake, hence the companies in Istanbul tends to works in steel home construction.
In what areas do the Ankara-based companies works?
Earthquake is not a major issue in Ankara so the construction companies in Ankara is manufacturing mainly the modular buildings. They are really successful in this field. They build big construction yards in abroad. They build the accommodation buildings there.
Actually after the earthquake most of our competitors has increased their sales and production but Paysa could not. However, in last 2 years we have also improved our figures in terms of sales and manufacturing capacity. In 2008, our production capacity increased by 100%. Our market share is around 5%. We believe that our market share will increase up to 15% cause we are growing fast in export market.
To which countries you export?
Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Ex-Turkish countries like Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan.
What is your product range?
In our factory we manufacture Fabric Structures, Habitat Tents and Steel Structures. Besides, we also manufacture Accommodation Containers and Modular Buildings. We are strong in this field because we are flexible relatively cost effective.
